1. Of course I have my favorites: Why Dontcha and Pollution Woman. I bought this as an album back in and I appreciate it more now than I did back then. Corky Laing lays down a solid backbeat while Jack Bruce is absolutely wearing that bass out not to mention Leslie West playing just the right amount of notes to make this a great rock album/5().

3. "While You Sleep" shows this wild bunch as creative and having fun, and it's a great album track, but not the thing to find them a new audience. The title tune, "Why Dontcha," is pure Leslie West, but it doesn't reinvent Mississippi Queen, and these gentlemen had to pull a rabbit or two out of their hats.6/

The album was their first studio offering and was a fine blend of hard rock (as defined by Leslie West) and the unique compositional style of Jack Bruce, finely complimented by the percussive powerhouse Corky Laing. Why Dontcha featured such fine compositions as the outstanding 'Out into the Fields', 'The Doctor' and 'Why Dontcha'/5().
